The major expression of the VW Passat is strengthened by the new dual front side lighting with optional bi-xenon and LED day time operating lighting. Each day time operating light consists of 15 LEDs. Within the collections formed by the top side lighting and grill is the body-coloured fender area. The next stage down sports another air consumption mounted by chrome-plated winglets - ornate elements similar to the side tips of commercial aircraft. The very low information fog lighting are integrated here. On the Highline devices range, another chrome decrease remove at the centre of the air consumption connects the winglets. At the minimum stage, there is the top side spoiler. As on motorsport cars, it is designed as a so-called splitter. From the Comfortline devices stage, a chrome decrease remove is also applied here.
The front side end blends into the part information via the part contour of the V-shaped hood, in the style of the Phaeton, and the car's distinctive side panel collections. The significantly cleaner reduced and (new) higher personality collections stand out here. These two collections now give structure to the height of the Passat and provides it a reduced information and a more powerful image. In one clean stroke, the higher personality range connects the highest point of the top side lighting with the window range up to the C-pillar. Below this is the second personality line; it connects the part areas of the top side lighting and back lighting which extend into the part information. In the sill area, a black (Trendline) or chrome (Comfortline and Highline) decrease remove improvements the lateral surfaces between the flared rim housings; this decrease remove is continued in the top side and back areas. The part information, with its new door mirror design, is also classified by a very fluid sweep from the roof area to the back. Visually, the devices collections differ in part information by their different wheel-tyre combinations.
